Karen Levin Coburn '63 Endowed Lecture in Gender Studies, This lecture, which made its debut in March 2005, is made possible by the generosity of Karen Levin Coburn (Skidmore Class of '63) and her husband Stephen Coburn.  The lecture series explores contemporary issues in gender studies.

Transformative Justice and Prison Abolition as Feminist Praxis: A Panel and Workshop Ejeris Dixon from Vision Change Win and Heena Sharma from Survived and Punished NY will discuss their work on community-based approaches to ending violence, creating accountability for harm, and transforming our notions of justice.

6:30-7:30 Panel discussion and Q&A with Ejeris Dixon (Vision Change Win) and Heena Sharma (Survived and Punished)

7:30-8:15 Workshops (breakout rooms): Ejeris and Heena will be available in separate rooms to have a conversation with registered workshop participants in a more intimate format giving students the opportunity to share their work and ask for feedback and/or perspectives from the panelists.
