Prof. Overbey's talk is titled "Theorizing Buddhist Revelation in a Sixth-Century Magical Text," and it is drawn from his first monograph, The Vaults of Buddhas: Prototantric Preachers and Rituals of Represencing in the Great Lamp of the Dharma Dhāraṇī Scripture (out now with SUNY press). The faculty panelists are Linda Hall, April Bernard, Peg Boyers, Marc Woodworth &amp; Robert Boyers (of the English Department) &amp; Jennifer Delton (of the History Department). Audience questions &amp; a reception will follow.
