Lindsay Walsh is a senior music and political science major at Skidmore. She has studied voice with Dr. Sylvia Stoner-Hawkins and Professor Garrett Obrycki for four years and is also highly involved in Opera Workshop, Skidmore Chorus, and VCE. This year, Lindsay is completing a collections management internship at The Sembrich - a museum dedicated to honoring the famed opera singer Marcella Sembrich in Bolton Landing, NY. She is thoroughly enjoying this opportunity to help the museum staff preserve and protect Sembrich’s legacy and provide educational and performance opportunities to promote the study of classical voice. Lindsay also participated in the Interharmony International Music Festival in Acqui Terme, Italy in 2018. Aside from her studies in vocal performance, Lindsay is a research assistant in the Political Science department and a member of Pi Sigma Alpha. Lindsay has worked hard to create a diverse program that encompasses all that she has learned during her time at Skidmore. She is very grateful for this opportunity to share her music with her friends, family, and the Skidmore Community.
