Event Details - Irish Dance Club

 The Irish Dance Club strives to teach traditional and modern renditions of irish dance steps to its club members. Most members in the club are musicians who play dance music. They enjoy learning the dances to songs that they usually are playing, in order to better understand them. Half of the club meetings are taught by an Irish Dance teacher, Gretchen Tisch, who will strive to push the limits of our understanding of dance with her very hip modern takes. The other half of the meeting times we will learn traditional step dances. All club members are invited to share their new found knowledge wednesday nights at a music session that takes place at the Parting Glass. The club occasionally performs during Christmas at the Farmer's Market or on campus. Feel free to come join us and learn another form of dance expression!
