The traditional bestiary, or “book of beasts,” used depictions of animals, along with text, as a basis for allegorical teaching. In the Spring 17 semester, many studio art classes dedicated time to creating contemporary, individualized interpretations of the bestiary. The work on display in the Schick Art Gallery is a juried sampling of student work from all disciplines and levels, including works by art majors and non-art-majors alike.
