Networking

  • Hear stories from Latinx and Hispanic students, alumni, and faculty about navigating college, career, and community
  • Learn how identity-based networks create opportunities for growth and belonging
  • Build meaningful connections with peers, mentors, and role models
  • Celebrate heritage while exploring diverse pathways

·       Looking for mentorship, guidance, and a supportive community that understands your journey? Join us for a panel and reception featuring Latinx and Hispanic alumni, students, and faculty who will share their personal experiences and career insights.

This year’s event will shine a spotlight on the intergenerational legacy of Skidmore’s Hispanic community with voices like student leader David Aybar ’26 and his mother, alumna Gloribel Cruz ’98. Alongside other distinguished alumni and faculty, the panel will reflect a broad span of experiences—across student leadership, community engagement, scholarship, advocacy, and professional fields—showcasing the richness of Skidmore’s Hispanic and Latinx community.

Panelists include:

Panel Moderator: Bernardo Ramirez Rios, Ph.D., Associate Professor of Anthropology, Director of LACLAS

Co-sponsored by the Skidmore Career Development Center and Raíces

This event is open to all students—come hear inspiring stories, connect with community, and expand your network!
