The Brave New World of
Baseball Analytics
This talk will explore the rising sophistication of analysis in baseball
front offices. It will trace a short historical path of sabermetric study both
in and out of baseball before focusing on today’s state of the art methods
for data collection and analysis. It will conclude with a look into the future,
including a brief discussion of how the attendees can best position themselves
for a career in baseball.
