Join us for an interactive professional development workshop with The Moth's education team on Friday September 28 from 2-4pm

The workshop will be led by Micaela Blei, PhD -- a storyteller, former elementary school teacher and Director of Education and Community for The Moth. Micaela helped launch The Moth High School StorySLAM Program in 2012. She has facilitated storytelling workshops and directed performance programs in schools across New York City as well as for Google, Humanity in Action, The 9/11 Tribute Center, DreamYard Project, The Wounded Warriors Project and others. As a storyteller, Micaela is a two-time Moth GrandSLAM champion and the Daily Dish recently called her “hilarious and heartrending.” You can hear her stories on The Moth Radio Hour and podcast, Narrative.ly, and other places on the internet. Micaela studied Educational Theatre at NYU with a research focus on personal narrative performance and identity in the classroom.
