Sam Green is a documentary filmmaker whose most recent projects are “live documentaries” including, A Thousand Thoughts (2018) in collaboration with the Kronos Quartet, which premiered at the Sundance Film festival in 2018 and The Love Song of R. Buckminster Fuller (2012), in collaboration with Yo La Tengo, which premiered at the Museum of Modern Art as part of the San Francisco International Film Festival. Green’s 2004 film The Weather Underground was nominated for an Academy Award, broadcast nationally on PBS, and included in the Whitney Biennial.
