Just because your favorite wool sweater or socks have a hole, do not despair! Join us Thursday, September 19, at 6pm, for a Visible Darning Workshop organized in conjunction with the exhibition Yvette Molina: A Promise to the Leaves. Instructor Karen Stevens ’88 will teach participants how to darn the holes in their knitwear using a simple weaving technique to turn their garments into pieces that are both functional and beautiful.

Participants should bring one or more knit articles of clothing—think of your favorite winter socks or (preferably wool) sweaters that have small moth holes. No special sewing skills are needed. Participants will be using a basic woven technique with wool yarn. All materials will be provided.

Registration required via this Google form: https://rb.gy/53rnr4

This workshop is free and open to the public.

People sit on the floor, bent over fabric as they work to mend it.
