This fall, the Saisselin Art Building celebrates 40 years of making with a series of special events, including tours of the building and studio areas, demonstrations, and workshops.
On Friday, October 12, 2018 from 2:00-5:00 p.m, we invite you to tour our building and experience our 10 studio areas in action by watching demonstrations or participating in short workshops. Drop by for a brief visit, or register for more in-depth engagements. Learn about the remarkable history of the Art Center, and share your stories with us.
While you’re here:
- view our select faculty exhibition in the Schick Art Gallery
- view work by current students on display throughout the building
- linger to visit with faculty and students, meet alumni, and connect with friends during our reception at the close of the afternoon, from 4:00-5:00 p.m.
We look back and marvel at the creative initiative and high aspirations of the visionary faculty and staff who set plans for this building into motion over 40 years ago, and the supportive donors that helped to make it a reality. We pause here at this moment in gratitude for the highly creative and efficient learning center the building is today, and we look forward with equally high aspirations, anticipating new opportunities to shape the future.
