CURVE EFFECT: SKIDMORE DANCE DEPARTMENT
at THE HYDE COLLECTION
Part of the Hyde Night Out Series
August 24, 2017
Experience
the exhibition Ellsworth Kelly: Slow Curve in a new light. Choreographers Debra
J. Fernandez and Jason Ohlberg, along with dancers Christin Williams and
Elise Mumford ’17, invite you to experience their physical dialogue
with Kelly’s geometric shapes and colorful compositions on view in
the Charles R. Wood gallery. A new collaboration in
two movements, Kelly’s dynamic prints are reframed and explored
through shifting kinetic viewpoints and distinct choreographic
perspectives on the artist’s iconic curvilinear work.
There
will be performances at 6:15 pm, 6:50 pm, and 7:30 pm with refreshments
available in the Museum lobby from 6 to 8 pm.
Space is limited and reservations are
required. RSVP by contacting Kayla at 518-792-1761 ext. 310 or adminassist@hydecollection.org. Free
for Hyde members, Skidmore College faculty, staff and students; $12 for
others. The Hyde Collection is located at 161 Warren Street, Glens Falls, NY
12801.
This collaboration is sponsored by the Skidmore College Arts Administration Program, Dance Department and the Office of the Dean of the Faculty.
