Guest artist Jessica Taffet Walters, Western Violin player and Skidmore Alumni 2013 with Devesh Chandra on Tabla.

Jessica Walters (née Taffet) began playing violin at a young age. Her childhood teachers were Carol Kushner and Sally Thomas. She attended Skidmore College where she was awarded a Filene Music Scholarship. During her college years Jessica had the opportunity to study European Classical music with Michael Emery, Hindustani Classical music with Veena Chandra, and Appalachian fiddle and folk music with John Kirk. She was a recipient of Skidmore's Periclean Award for her senior recital in 2013, which featured demonstrations of traditional, classical, and folk violin and fiddle playing from several cultures. One of her favorite annual events is performing with Veena at the Saratoga Springs Dance Flurry. Jessica runs a community orchard in Randolph Vermont, where she lives and farms with her husband and daughter.

This collaboration was awarded by New music USA in 2020.
