With virtuosity and versatility, Ensemble Connect performs a vast range of works each season, from historic standouts to worthy, lesser-known pieces to brand new commissions. In its return to Skidmore College for its biannual residency, the group of exceptional young professionals performs a program that includes C. Schumann’s sole piano trio, an under-performed masterpiece; one of J. S. Bach’s timeless Brandenburg concertos; a Martinů quartet uniquely scored for clarinet, horn, cello, and snare drum; and a captivating piece by Eleanor Alberga that resembles a traditional multi-movement string quartet in a single well-developed movement.

About the Artists
