Talk by Visiting Artist Borinquen Gallo. Borinquen Gallo will be an artist in residence on campus July 18 - 22, during Summer Studio Art Program's Session ll.Gallo's artwork is inspired by the nature of materials that we consume and dispose of. She uses found fabric scraps, plastic trash bags and other recyclable materials including remnants of sheets, old t-shirts, paper towels, vinyl, reconfiguring ordinary materials into unexpected combinations, transforming mundane materials into unexpected beauty.
