Ceramic Production and
Community at Archaic and Classical Eleon in Central Greece
This talk explores
pottery and terracotta figurines dedicated at the sanctuary at the site of
Eleon in Central Greece to learn about how people lived, worked, and
worshipped in the Archaic and into the Classical periods (ca. 600-450
BCE). A microscopic look at the ceramics and a consideration of the life
cycle of the finds from production to discard reveals more about social
relationships among Eleonians.
