The choral and instrumental works of Jarred Green explore ideas of love and loss in the digital age.  Also included on the program are selected works from this semester's Black Box production of the Penelopiad in the theater department.  For his senior capstone project, Jarred composed original music for the show, and this recital features actors from the show singing in collaboration with vocal students.

Max Weigel's "The houses we build and break" explores the cyclical natures of stability and freedom, comfort and discomfort. At what point does stability induce fear or dissonance facilitate serenity? Through an intersection of dance, music, theater, and visual art, this performance examines the form and formlessness of ever-shifting structures and how we deal with them.
