Event Details - Screening of "Después De Trujillo"

Después De Trujillo (After Trujillo) is the product of the interface of academic research and filmmaking. The idea originated in December 2014 during the research project “Modernity and the Landscape in Latin America: Politics, Aesthetics, Ecology,” led by Jens Andermann, chair of Latin American Cultural Studies at the University of Zurich, Switzerland. Within this framework, the documentary probes the relationships between dictatorship, modern architecture, and cultural memory. The documentary was completed in November 2016 and premiered in the Dominican Republic with university screenings, cultural institutions, museums, and archives, in the capital and in Santiago de Los Caballeros.

The screening will be followed by a Q&A with filmmaker Lisa Blackmore.
