Ragini Shankar began her training in Hindustani Classical Music on the violin at the age of 4 under the tutelage of her mother, Dr. Sangeeta Shankar, and grandmother, Padmabhushan Dr. N Rajam. Ragini shows brilliance in her performances with her ability to reproduce vocal music on the violin (Gayaki Ang, a technique invented by Dr. N Rajam) with astounding accuracy, tonal quality, exceptional fingering and break-neck bowing techniques. She will be accompanied on tabla by Devesh Chandra.
