Internship Search Strategy Workshop
Students interested in finance, government agencies, and journalism should plan on attending a workshop in September or October due to early internship deadlines in these fields. Many resources are available for students including specific databases for special fields of interest. Come and learn about the 3 ways of finding an internship along with resources to help get you started.
Internships provide career related work experience in a career field of interest and/or related to your major. The purpose of internships is to provide direction and enrichment to your education and to enhance your value as an employee upon graduation. Career counselors in the CDC can assist you in searching and applying for an internship experience. The majority of internships are available for academic credit. Learn about Skidmore’s Summer Funded Internship Awards Program and how to apply. These monthly workshops will provide the tools and resources to help you get started in finding an internship of your dreams.
