Looking ahead to Spring 2016, BHOS will present Vivaldi's "Gloria" and Part Two of Handel's "Messiah" at the time of year it was originally intended. The performance is scheduled for Sunday, May 15, 3 PM at the Zankel Music Center on the Skidmore Campus.  Audience members will be invited to sing along on many of the beloved choruses you have heard for a lifetime. This promises to be a unique and special concert, with a spirit that has been inspired by the tremendous community support extended to BHOS. Burnt Hills Oratorio Society wants to provide you this unique opportunity to blend voices and enjoy community in a way that is often lacking in today's culture.

At the podium will be the new Artistic Director of Burnt Hills Oratorio Society, Dr. William Jon Gray. Dr. Gray brings a rich background in vocal performance, choral and orchestral conducting. He recently returned to his hometown of Delmar, NY to accept the position as Director of Choral Studies at the University at Albany. Before his appointment at S.U.N.Y. Albany, he was chair of the choral department at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music. You can read more about the accomplishments of Conductor William Jon Gray at the BHOS website, www.BHOS.us.

So dig out your score of Messiah, start tuning up, and plan to participate in this very special community sing along.

Tickets: $20 general admission, $18 group admission, $10 students
