In Her Footsteps documents an entire family torn between fulfilling a dying mother's last wish, societal regulations, and familial expectations. The film explores family intimacy, secrets, and dilemmas and raises serious questions about gender, identity, and community through the lens of Rana Abu Fraiha’s family in Omer, Israel.
