Please mark your calendars for the 4th Annual Education Studies Colloquium on Wednesday, April 9, 2025 at 5:30pm in Gannett Auditorium. This year's colloquium address, Children's Literature and the Americas: Reading Toward New Understandings, will be delivered by award-winning children's author, historian and educator, Dr. Emma Otheguy. In her talk, Dr. Otheguy will speak to the history of children's literature in the United States, her journey as an author, and how children's literature can inform an inclusive and trasnational understanding of the Americas that young people today urgently need. Refreshments and a book signing will follow the colloquium events.
