Sophomore/Junior Student Programming ~ Linking the Liberal Arts to the Real World

Sophomore / Junior Career Development Orientation

Knowledge is Power!

Steps to Take Now!

Begin the school year by learning about the events and programs offered exclusively for students during their sophomore and junior years.

This career development orientation is the kickoff for sophomores and juniors to begin their career planning through The Career Development Center’s Skidmore Sophomore / Junior Student Success Program (SSS).

This program provides workshops and events specifically designed for sophomores and juniors by supplying an ndividualized Career Development Plan based on class year. This plan will outline suggestions for students on important steps to take that will assist them in their career development during their sophomore and junior years.

The career planning process has four steps:

Step 1: knowing yourself
Step 2: finding out
Step 3: making decisions
Step 4: taking action

The Skidmore Sophomore / Junior Student Success Program (SSS) will culminate in April at our Half Way Celebration! Come to the orientation to learn how you can earn a Certificate by engaging in the career development process during sophomore and junior year.
