Skidmore's Artist Faculty and guests kick off a semester-long
celebration of the genius of Leonard Bernstein with a gala performance
featuring a wide variety of vocal and instrumental chamber works by the
illustrious composer. Featured artists include Pola Baytelman (piano), Sue Daves
(bassoon), Randall Ellis (oboe), Michael Emery (violin), Paul Green (clarinet),
Jameson Platte (cello), Sylvia Stoner (soprano), Katy Svatek (French
horn), Jan Vinci (flute), Mark Vinci (saxophone) and others. The concert
features a world-premiere song-cycle tribute to Leonard Bernstein by composer
Evan Mack with guest baritone Daniel Teadt. Presented with support from the ELM
Chamber Music Series, Sterne Virtuoso Concert Series, Filene Concert Series and
the Arts Planning Group.
