Jennifer French is a professor of Spanish at Williams College and a literary critic whose research explores the ways that colonialism and neocolonialism have influenced relations among human groups and between humans and nonhuman nature in Latin America. She has published numerous articles and her book Nature, Neo-colonialism and the Spanish-American Regional Writers is an essential work in Latin American ecocriticism.
