Skidmore faculty and Steinway Artist Young Kim will perform a heart-rending solo piano recital in memory of her late husband, Chang Y Ryu, who passed unexpectedly in 2021. The program is comprised of his favorite pieces – J. S. Bach’s Sheep may safely graze and Partita No. 1Clouds by Florence Price; and one of Robert Schumann’s greatest works for solo piano, Fantasie in C, Op. 17.

This live, in-person, indoor performance is free and open to the public. Seating is first come, first served and doors open 30 minutes prior to the start of the event. Donations to the Chang Y Ryu Memorial Research Fund can be made at the event or online by visiting https://giving.rpi.edu/the-chang-y-ryu-memorial-research-fund/.

Presented by the Music Department at Skidmore College.
